SimPlan AG: The simulation expertise behind PacSi
Over 30 years’ experience in simulation
Since 1992, SimPlan AG has specialised in the simulation and optimisation of production and logistics processes. We support companies across various sectors in making complex processes transparent, evaluating planning options and making decisions based on sound data.
Our range of services extends from carrying out complete simulation projects, through consultancy and the implementation of various simulation solutions, to the development of our own software and simulation-based applications.
One particular area of application is the simulation of processing and packaging plants. SimPlan has developed the PacSi simulation system for these highly dynamic systems.
Specialising in processing and packaging systems
Interlinked production and packaging systems place particular demands on the planning process. The performance of a single machine says little about the throughput the entire line will achieve under real-world conditions. Malfunctions, buffers, varying machine performance, set-up procedures and other dynamic factors all interact.
With PacSi, these interdependencies can be investigated even before implementation or when optimising existing systems. Different system concepts and planning scenarios can be compared within the simulation model. This makes it possible, for example, to identify bottlenecks, examine buffer sizes and analyse the effects of disruptions or changes to the line structure.
PacSi is used by SimPlan as part of simulation projects and is also offered as software for independent use.
Software and simulation services from a single source
Not every company wishes to carry out simulations itself. That is why you can use PacSi in various ways.
If you wish to create your own models and regularly analyse systems, PacSi is available to you as simulation software. For an easy introduction to the modelling and simulation of packaging systems, we also offer the SimPacSi app.
Alternatively, our simulation experts can tackle your specific problem. From modelling and running various scenarios through to evaluating the results, we support you in the planning and optimisation of your processing and packaging systems.
In doing so, we combine software development with the experience gained from practical simulation projects.
Consultancy, Training and Support
In addition to software and project support, we also assist companies with the implementation and long-term use of simulation solutions. This includes consultancy, training, and support and maintenance services.
Our aim is not simulation for its own sake. The model is designed to answer specific questions and provide a robust basis for planning and investment decisions.
